CDL Instructor Resources

To facilitate the FMCSA's ELDT behind-the-wheel training requirements, we have developed the Instructor Portal. The Instructor Portal comes pre-loaded with all of the FMCSA's required ELDT training units broken into Road, Range, and Pre-Trip segments. These units can be customized to suit your specific training process. 

The Instructor Portal documents all training activities, recording the date and time of the training and associating this with the instructor and equipment used. This information is then stored in the trainee's attendance record.

To foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, we've introduced a daily scoreboard called "The A1 Report." This report will appear on the Instructor Portal each morning upon login.

The selected metrics provide a snapshot of key growth indicators and the fundamental pillars of training success.

By presenting the A1 Report daily, we aim to motivate instructors to deliver their best efforts to every student they train while striving to consistently improve their performance metrics.

The first-time pass rate is a metric that shows the percentage of students who pass their state test on their first try. 

We associate a first-time pass rate metric to an instructor based on the amount of time they spend training students before their test. A high first-time pass rate is more than just a number; it directly reflects training quality.
